
In the safari park in Peaugres, you will take a fantastic trip around world of wildlife reserves. Situated in the heart of the Ardèche region, the safari park stretches over 197 acres divided into two parks. The first part of the visit is carried out in the car and the second part on foot. Some 900 animals share this territory and 130 species are represented.
In the part of the park visited on foot, you will see giraffes, seals, snakes, monkeys, antelopes, as well as the big cats and the mini-farm! The Safari park can be visited in camping-cars and even buses! You will see bears, elephants and rhinoceros from your car, windows closed of course! To finish the day, JEMBO, a huge playground on over 2 acres, will delight young and old.
On September 27th 1994, the first birth of a Sumatran orang utan in France took place in the Safari Park in Peaugres. In 1995 an exceptional litter of seven cheetahs was born. The mountain Bongo is a very rare species. En France, only the park in Thoiry and the Safari park in Peaugres possess them and the latter has reproduced them...
